Leading Lawyers for Business." The guide noted, among other things, that

Associate Michelle S. Kugler is leaving her legal practice to stay at home with her two children. Her husband, Kevin, has been named the play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball for Westwood One. Westwood One is affiliated with CBS Radio. Michelle has been with the Firm since August 1998. It has truly been a pleasure working with her for the past eight years. We wish Michelle and her family the best of success.

Former Associate Glen Th. Parks successfully argued a case before the Nebraska Supreme Court in which the supreme court affirmed the trial court's dismissal of the lawsuit. The lawsuit sought $100,000 in death benefits under a life insurance policy. Mr. Parks defended the case on an alcohol exclusion and obtained a summary judgment in the Douglas County District Court dismissing the lawsuit. Partner Peter C. Wegman helped litigate this matter.

Glen Th. Parks, an attorney with Rembolt Ludtke LLP for the past three years, recently left the firm and moved to Ooty, India. Glen and his family made the decision to relocate in India, where Glen is working with the Freedom Firm, a Christian-based, law-focused human rights organization. Glen will be using his litigation experience in the Freedom Firm's efforts to drive out brothel owners, save girls who have been forced into prostitution, and help underage girls pressed into prostitution start over. We congratulate him on his courage and determination in this worthwhile vocation. We wish Glen, his wife Rebecca, and their four children all the best.

Rembolt Ludtke is pleased to announce the arrival of its new summer associates. Brenda George and John Anderson are in their second year of law school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Brandy Hataway is also attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law and is in her first year. We welcome them and look forward to working with them this summer.

On March 1, 2006, Kevin C. Siebert changed his status with the Firm from partner to "Of Counsel." After being with Rembolt Ludtke LLP since 1983, Kevin is now a corporate attorney for a large local business and its many related companies. Though Kevin will not be with us full time, he will be available to consult and assist on pending and future client matters. The focus of this consultation will be the bond and municipal finance work he has excelled at here in the past. Kevin joins David A. Ludtke and John H. Binning who also have an "Of Counsel" relationship with our Firm.

Associate Kristin S. Simpson is joining Baylor Law School as a new faculty member. She will be teaching Legal Analysis Research and Communication.
