We hire only the very best people as new associates. New associates come primarily from the top ranks of law school graduates, either directly out of law school or after judicial clerkships. However, while we emphasize high academic and intellectual standards, we also look for extra curricular activities, leadership positions, employment history and initiative. Our Firm strongly values diversity, and we are seeking well-rounded candidates from diverse backgrounds. Building from the Ground Up Our Firm believes in building from the ground up. In fact, nearly all of the attorneys at the Firm began their legal careers with Rembolt Ludtke LLP. Our growth has been slow but steady throughout the 38-year history of our Firm. We typically seek to hire one new associate each year. However, if more than one candidate satisfies our rigorous hiring standards, we will extend more offers. Similarly, if no applicants meet our standards, we will not make any offers; our Firm does not hire new associates simply to maximize our profitability. Every new associate is hired with the full expectation that he or she will become a partner with a long legal career at the Firm. Our new associates have often participated in our clerk program. At the same time, we remain open to opportunities to attract third-year law students, judicial clerks, and candidates entering law practice from other settings. |
